Dear Ms. Windchuk,
I must once again thank you for the opportunity to interview with you last week and for your offer of employment. Unfortunately, however, I have also been offered a similar position in another company and have decided to accept, so I feel the need to apologize to you personally as I must, regrettably, decline your offer.
The position I will be taking up is in a slightly more substantial role than the one we discussed, and as I have a strong desire to be challenged a little more aggressively by the position at this company, the job function greatly attracted me. The decision was made easier when I also discovered there would be more travel involved with a somewhat higher level of remuneration and rewards.
I imagine that at some point in the future, our paths may again cross, as I am sure to stay within this industry for the foreseeable future. Again, my apologies for turning down your offer, but also my heartfelt appreciation for you and your company’s trust in my abilities.
