第四，适时重音。重音也是非常重要的，适时的重音给人以强调之感，比如在一些人物、地点、动词、语气词等地方适时的重音，例如“天上的明星现了，好像点着无数的街灯”在“明星现”、“点”、“街灯”处加重音。
第五，语速时缓时急。 一般来说，朗诵不是一直保持一种速度的，而是根据心情、境况等时缓时急，例如在表达兴奋、激动、欢快的词句时宜用快一点的声音，而在表达哀伤、痛苦、怀念等词句时宜用慢一点的语速，如徐志摩的《再别康桥》的“轻轻的我走了，正如我轻轻的来”适合慢一点的语速表达诗人的离愁别绪。
